ALINA DERKSEN
Therapy Aide
Alina has her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Recreation Management from the University of Manitoba. When she’s not attending her own classes, she is a teaching assistant for Anatomy courses. As a Certified Childcare Assistant, she loves to create engaging environments for children and has gained extensive experience in rehabilitation centers, enhancing lives and independence.
In her leisure time, she enjoys coaching young individuals eager to explore and enhance their skills in sports. She is also a volunteer coach for the Special Olympics. When not coaching or studying, you can find her snowboarding or spending quality time with her two beloved cats, Mocha and Chai.
MADDY HORTON
Therapy Aide
Maddy is in her third year of university at the U of M where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology. Maddy also loves her role as an educational assistant, this is the path that showed her that she has a true passion for working with children.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, coach basketball, and spend time with her four rescue dogs.
